We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cyber Security Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, with a passion for protecting digital assets and mitigating cyber risks. Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and analyze network traffic for signs of unauthorized access or malicious activity.
Implement and maintain security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software.
Conduct regular security assessments and penetration tests to identify vulnerabilities in systems and networks.
Respond to security incidents in a timely manner, investigating root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Provide security awareness training to employees, educating them about cybersecurity threats and best practices for protecting sensitive data.
Collaborate with IT teams and business units to integrate security controls into new and existing systems and applications.
Stay up-to-date on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies, and recommend security enhancements as needed.
Assist with the development and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure the organization can quickly recover from cyber-attacks or other security incidents.
Participate in on-call rotation and respond to security incidents outside of regular business hours, as necessary.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
At least 2-3 years of experience in a cybersecurity role, with a strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH are preferred.
Proficiency in security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM solutions, and vulnerability scanning tools.
Experience conducting security assessments, penetration tests, and incident response procedures.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and respond quickly to security incidents.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with a strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
